How to register on MyFloridaMarketPlace to bid in Florida

Updated November 2026

State agencies buy through MyFloridaMarketPlace, the state's bid system. You can read its bids without an account; to do business with a state agency, you register.

Florida, with a lamp in each of the 63 counties whose own bid sites we read.

Who uses MyFloridaMarketPlace

FDOT's ordering FAQ puts it plainly: every company that wants to do business with any state agency must register at vendor.myfloridamarketplace.com and get a State of Florida vendor number. checked Nov 2, 2026

The Division of Emergency Management's guide to doing business with the state says the same: vendors create an account through the Department of Management Services. checked Nov 2, 2026

What registering takes

The state's registration sheet lists what to have on hand: your company's legal and DBA names, federal tax ID, tax filing name, business location and the commodity codes you sell. The sheet dates from 2018 and is posted by the Division of Emergency Management. checked Nov 2, 2026

To be paid, you also need a verified Florida Substitute W-9 on file with the Department of Financial Services: without one, the state can't place orders with you or pay you. checked Nov 2, 2026

What you can do without an account

Read the state's bids: its bid search is public, and BidSignal reads it each morning without logging in.

The account is what you need to do business with a state agency, and the W-9 is what gets you paid.

Where BidSignal fits

State bids in your trade and counties arrive in the same morning email as city, county and school bids, each with a link to its posting. You register with the state once, and each posting says how that bid goes in.
