What a Florida grounds bid usually asks for
- Unit prices on the agency's bid form: per mowing cycle, per acre or per site.
- Proof of insurance, usually general liability, auto and workers' comp, with the agency named as additional insured.
- A limited certification for anyone applying commercial fertilizer to urban landscapes (section 482.1562, Florida Statutes).
- E-Verify for new hires: contractors on public contracts must use it (section 448.095).
- References for similar sites and, when the bid asks, a list of your equipment.
- Your attendance at the pre-bid meeting or site walk when the bid calls it mandatory.
