How to register on DemandStar to bid in Florida
Updated November 2026
Some Florida buyers keep their bid documents on DemandStar. Here is what an account costs, how to set one up, and what BidSignal does and doesn't do there.
Who uses DemandStar in Florida
Each Florida buyer picks where its bid documents live, and some pick DemandStar. Levy County's purchasing FAQ, for one, explains DemandStar's free option to its vendors. checked Nov 2, 2026
DemandStar says it is free for governments and sells plans to the businesses that bid. checked Nov 2, 2026
What a DemandStar account costs
The Basic plan is free and covers one buyer you choose; DemandStar says bid packages download free inside the area a plan covers. Its paid county, state and national plans cover more buyers. checked Nov 2, 2026
Outside your plan, each bid package costs $5 to download. Levy County's FAQ says the same: free with the one agency you pick, $5 a download from any other. checked Nov 2, 2026
How to register on DemandStar
- Open DemandStar's sign-up page at demandstar.com/app/registration, which its own site links as Register as a Business. checked Nov 2, 2026
- Choose the free Basic plan, and make the buyer you bid with most your one free agency.
- For a bid from another DemandStar buyer, pay the $5 for its package, or move up to a paid plan if you bid with many of them.
- Set it up before you need it: a deadline won't wait while you sort out an account.
What you can do without an account
DemandStar's pricing page says anyone without a plan can still download any bid package for $5. checked Nov 2, 2026
Some buyers we read post the bid itself on their own website and keep only the documents on DemandStar. That posting is free to read, and it says where the documents are.
Where BidSignal fits
BidSignal emails you each new bid in your trade and counties from the public bid pages we read, linked to its official posting. When the documents are on DemandStar, the posting sends you there.
We don't read DemandStar itself, since its terms don't allow robots like ours, so a bid posted only on DemandStar is not in our email. We never log in or send a bid for you: how our bot behaves.
