FAQ

Questions contractors ask

Where do the bids come from?

Public bid pages of Florida cities, counties, school districts, the state and federal offices: 210 bid sites.

Every bid links to the official posting. Check it before you bid: the agency's posting has the final word.

Is it only for cleaning and lawn care?

No. You can also pick security, pest control, HVAC, roofing, paving, electrical, plumbing, painting, construction, IT, printing, waste or uniforms, or type your own keywords.

What happens when the free trial ends?

Every trial email has a link to keep it: $29/month or $290/year. Skip it and the emails stop after day 7.

How do I change my plan, pause or cancel?

Log in at the top of this page, or use Manage in any BidSignal email. Change your trades and counties, pause, switch between monthly and yearly, or cancel, with no call or fee.

A yearly plan runs to the end of the year you've paid for.

How does matching work?

Each trade is a list of words buyers use, and we look in the title, description and category. Your own keywords match word starts, so janitor finds janitorial.

Skip words leave out a bid with the word in its title. A bid that matched only on its description is left out if the word is there too.

Mark a bid Not relevant and we stop sending it, then suggest skip words to keep out ones like it.

Do you include federal bids?

Yes, from SAM.gov, when the work site is in Florida, like VA hospitals and military bases. You need an active SAM.gov registration to bid on them.

Can I put deadlines in my calendar?

Yes. Every bid with a date ahead has an Add to calendar link for Google, Apple or Outlook, with the pre-bid or questions deadline too.

Can you help me put a bid together?

Yes. Bid Prep is $249 for one bid you track with 5 or more days left, from its reminder email or your Manage page.

A person on our team fills in the agency's forms, lists every license, insurance and bond, writes the cover letter and lays out the pricing sheet. You price, sign and submit.

The packet arrives by email 2 weekdays before the deadline, or you get a full refund.

Do you track what I open?

No. No tracking pixels, ads or analytics.
